These mid-century modern kits were originally part of our Mod Miniatures line. Nothing about them has changed other than our logo.
The Springfield is built with an MDF frame and chipboard roof material and trim. This slimmed down version is meant to save space, but also provides a unique look. For a first-time builder, this is a good option, though the kit has a very polished look to it once assembled. The rear of the building is open so you have easy access to the interior.
Its overall dimensions are 13" wide x 2.75" deep x 4" tall.
The brickwork is cut in sheets and is easily assembled, but this isn't a cheap kit you will knock out in an afternoon. Plan to set aside some time to do this one right.
Like all of our kits, this is laser cut from 3mm MDF, with trim and roofing cut from thin chipboard. The Springfield has a surprising amount of detail considering the scale. This is not a difficult build, but it does require some time and patience.
